Chris Ruggiero’s Ridiculously Good Donut Pie

Prep Time- 20 minutes

Cook Time– 40 minutes

Total Time– 1 hour

Servings– Feeds 8 people


  1. 2 Eggs
  2. 1 stick salted butter (melted)
  3. ¼ cup brown sugar
  4. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  5. Pinch of nutmeg
  6. 25-30 munchkin donuts
  7. 9” refrigerated pie crust


  1. 2 cups confection sugar
  2. 1/3 cup milk


Place 9” pie dough in baking dish then cut all donuts in half and place them in baking dish facing cut side up. In separate bowl mix together eggs, butter (melted), brown sugar, vanilla extract, and nutmeg. Slowly pour mixture on top of donuts in baking dish covering evenly. Cover with tin foil and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. 

While baking, make icing to pour on top. Put confectioners’ sugar in separate bowl and slowly pour in the milk. Whisk together till smooth.

After 30 minutes in oven remove pie and pour icing evenly on top, then put back in oven for 10 minutes uncovered and enjoy!
